Create a Stallion

To record Breeding Services or when storing Embryos or Semen Doses in nitrogen tanks, you will need to set the stallion.

To mark a standard male horse to be a Stallion you just need to set the sex and the stallion flag:

If you want an external horse to be a Stallion in your account but don't want it in My Horses, mark the horse as REFERENCE. This is the procedure to follow when purchasing semen or embryos from external stallions.

Import stallion pedigree

It is always desirable to import the stallion's pedigree, rather than creating it manually.  See article on pedigree import
