Recurring Charges

For recurring charges like boarding, training, membership, or other types of service packages, we created tools to help you with the invoicing process.

You can create recurring charge items to a horse or to a customer, select the periodicity, and one or more billable services.  You can add multiple different recurring charges to a horse/customer with different periodicity: monthly boarding and bimonthly training charges, for example.

The system will track all this and automatically create billable service records on the dates dictated by the periodicity (daily, weekly, monthly).

Note that for horses with multiple owners (syndicated) each record will be split among them, taking into account the ownership percentage.

Usage examples:

  • Daily boarding for Breeding Facilities
  • Long term Boarding billed monthly
  • Training services
  • Riding lessons monthly packages

Advance recurring charge

You can advance the charge of a recurring charge set in the future. Imagine that you have to invoice the customer before the cut date of the recurring charge, so you advance it to be charged today, and the next recurring charge will be the following month/week/day.

Updating Prices

There are a couple of ways to update pricing on recurring charges.

  • You can update each recurring charge price one by one using this option:
  • You can use the Billable Services section in Admin/Configuration to trigger the batch update of all active recurring charges.
  • You can edit an individual recurring service, changing the price manually.
